was born in 1945 in the Ohio Valley in Wheeling, West Virginia and raised in the small Polish enclave of Bellaire, Ohio, across the river.
Moved to Adena, Ohio after Anthony Daniel Boiarski returned from WWII, where he served in the Pacific and was wounded.
Attended St. Casimir's Elementary School in Adena, Ohio, graduating in 1959 and Adena High School, graduating in 1963.
Attended The Ohio State University as a Stadium Scholar, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English. Graduated from Goddard College with a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in 1980.
First published in 1963 and continued publishing in college and after. Works have appeared in The Paris Review, The Minnesota Review, Green House, The California Quarterly, The Rocky Mountain Review, Aspen Anthology, The Ohio Journal, Indiana Writes and numerous other publications. Has written and produced two plays and numerous fictions as well as essays and song lyrics.
His work has been said to be "so personal that it is universal."
